COACHING INDEPENDENTLY SHOULD NOT MEAN COACHING Alone.
Most independent coaches do not have a room full of experienced colleagues available when they need to:
- Work through a difficult programming decision
- Diagnose why an athlete has stopped progressing
- Build a progression for a specific limitation
- Interpret new research
- Pressure-test an idea before using it with an athlete
- Talk honestly about the business of coaching
Coaches inside major training organizations have access to those conversations every day. Most independent coaches do not. Ruth Performance Collective gives you that environment: a year-round training camp for coaches. A place to learn, ask better questions, examine real athlete problems, share ideas, and become more confident in the decisions you make.
"When you're a remote coach, who do you have to bounce ideas off of? Who do you have to bring you new training ideas on a regular basis?"
KYLE RUTH
YOU DO NOT NEED MORE DISCONNECTED Content.
There is already more coaching information available than any one person could consume. The difficult part is deciding:
- What applies to your athlete
- What matters most right now
- How to turn a concept into a training session
- How to progress it over several weeks
- How to adapt when the athlete does not respond as expected
- Whether your decision actually makes sense
Ruth Performance Collective is built around application. The goal is to help you make better decisions and put useful ideas into practice.
EVERYTHING RUNS ON A Weekly Rhythm.
WEEKLY LIVE COACHING CALL
Join Kyle and other Collective members for deeper discussions about programming, athlete development, coaching systems, and the problems coaches are currently trying to solve. These calls examine the reasoning behind coaching decisions rather than prescribing one "correct" answer.
Tuesdays, 9:00-10:00am ETWEEKLY OFFICE-HOURS Q&A
Bring your current questions, difficult athlete situations, programming decisions, or business problems to a live weekly discussion. Hear how other experienced coaches approach similar situations and leave with clearer next steps.
Thursdays, 12:00-1:00pm ETBI-WEEKLY RESEARCH REVIEWS
Coach-facing breakdowns of relevant sport-science research: what the researchers studied, what they actually found, the limitations of the evidence, how the findings may or may not apply to athletes, and the practical coaching decisions you can take from it.
TRAINING-TEMPLATE VAULT
The actual spreadsheets Kyle used with different athlete types, with a description of who each was built for. Use them as starting points, reference systems, or frameworks for building your own programming without reinventing the structure every time.
MONTHLY ATHLETE-PROBLEM PROGRESSION
Fourteen complete progressions at launch, and each month a new one built around a real athlete limitation: the problem, how to assess it, the reasoning behind the selections, how the work progresses, what to monitor, and when to adjust.
SEARCHABLE MENTORSHIP-CALL ARCHIVE
Learn from real discussions about programming, athlete problems, coaching systems, communication, and building an independent practice. Search a curated, timestamped archive to find the conversations relevant to your current problem.
A SERIOUS COACH-TO-COACH COMMUNITY
Ask questions, share experiences, challenge ideas, and build relationships with other competitive-fitness and sports-performance coaches. The professional environment many independent coaches are currently missing.
BUILT FOR Application.
START WITH THE PROBLEM IN FRONT OF YOU
You are not expected to consume everything. Start with the athlete problem or coaching decision directly in front of you.
SEARCH, THEN APPLY
Search the library for a relevant call, template, progression, or research review, and apply the most useful idea to your situation.
BRING WHAT IS UNRESOLVED
Bring unresolved questions to office hours or the weekly coaching call.
CLOSE THE LOOP
Share what happened and use the feedback to refine your next decision. The value is in improving the decisions you make for real athletes.
You do not have to coach elite athletes. Performance principles upgrade coaching at every level, and coaches in the original mentorship applied these systems with general-population clients to real effect. You do need to care about your craft, engage thoughtfully, and be willing to examine your decisions.
- Competitive-fitness, CrossFit, and functional-fitness coaches
- Sports-performance, strength and conditioning, and endurance coaches
- Independent remote coaches
- Coaches responsible for individualized program design
- Coaches who want to understand why a training decision works
- Coaches who value thoughtful discussion and constructive disagreement
- Coaches who want continued development without another certification
THIS WILL NOT BE THE RIGHT FIT IF YOU WANT:
- A generic daily workout program
- Someone to write all of your athletes' programming
- Unlimited private access to Kyle
- Individual athlete audits on demand
- A guaranteed answer to every coaching problem
- Passive content that you never intend to apply
- A shortcut that replaces experience and critical thinking
Ruth Performance Collective provides education, frameworks, resources, discussion, and professional support. It does not replace your responsibility as the athlete's coach.
BUILT FROM REAL Mentorship.
Ruth Performance Collective grew out of Kyle Ruth's individual coaching mentorship. Those conversations covered real athlete cases, programming decisions, coaching systems, business challenges, and the questions experienced coaches encounter when theory meets practice. The Collective preserves the best of that environment while making continued support, new resources, research, and coach-to-coach discussion available through an ongoing membership.
The feedback below is from coaches in that original mentorship, the program the Collective was built from. The Collective itself opens September 8.
"Kyle is one of the most knowledgeable coaches in our space. Working with Kyle has made me more confident as a coach, and the homework he gave matched my goals. I now have all the back end set up to onboard clients as well as a new season planning system for my athletes. If you are on the fence, just take the leap. Kyle is a phenomenal mentor who will meet you where you're at."
"I've done several mentorships and certifications, and mentoring with Kyle is one of the best because everything covered is personalized yet easily applicable as a coach. Kyle really knows what he's talking about. He's one of the best coaches in the game."
"More confidence has been instilled in trusting the process. I now have a streamlined and efficient system for the entire interaction, from onboarding through the nuances of programming. If they're willing to invest in themselves and their business as a coach in this field, it's a no-brainer."
Kyle Ruth is a performance coach and educator specializing in competitive fitness, endurance development, and the application of sport science to real-world coaching. The goal is to make better decisions.

DO I NEED TO ATTEND EVERY CALL?
No. Attend the calls that are useful to you and use the searchable recordings when you cannot join live.
IS THIS ONLY FOR CROSSFIT COACHES?
No. Much of the discussion is highly relevant to competitive fitness, but the underlying systems also apply to sports-performance coaching, strength and conditioning, endurance development, and individualized athlete programming.
WILL KYLE REVIEW MY ATHLETE'S COMPLETE PROGRAM?
The weekly calls may include discussion of member programming questions and athlete problems, but the Collective does not include complete individualized program audits or private consulting. Those require a separate service.
COLLECTIVE OR MENTORSHIP?
The mentorship is a premium individualized service: six private calls with Kyle personally building your systems and reviewing your program design, with the Collective included throughout and for 90 days after completion. The Collective is the ongoing environment: weekly calls, the libraries, and other serious coaches to think with. If you are unsure, start with the Collective and add the mentorship when you are ready to build.
HOW OFTEN ARE NEW RESOURCES ADDED?
The standard schedule includes a weekly live coaching call, weekly office-hours Q&A, a research review every two weeks, and a new athlete-problem progression each month. Templates and other resources are added when they solve a meaningful coaching need.
CAN I CANCEL WHENEVER I WANT?
Yes. Monthly memberships can be canceled at any time. You retain access through the end of your current paid billing period. Payments already made are not refundable for unused membership time.
